Sunday 17th April saw several Lincolnshire 4x4 Response members turn out to help marshal the Lincoln 10k run.
Literally thousands of runners descended on Lincoln to take part in this year’s event which saw competitors use a slightly revised course which finished by the Cathedral.
The event organised by Run For All, is part of the legacy of the late Jane Tomlinson CBE, whose charity has raised over £7.5 million for good causes.
LN4x4R were there to support the static marshals and medical services along the route by picking up any retiree’s and taking them to he finish area, plus we also provided the official sweeper vehicle to close the course after the race and ensure any stragglers were looked after and not forgotten about.
The Lincoln 10k run is an annual event and many runners dress up in fancy dress costumes, to raise money for charities such as LIVES, Macmillan Cancer Support, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, Cerebral Palsy Sport, Framework and of course the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
